Christians, do you interpret the bible literally or metaphorically?
Just curious. I completely understand an individual who interprets it metaphorically just because it is dripping with good morals and a sense of security. But for you folks who relentlessly claim the bible is to be taken literally, I am at loss for words. This means you truly believe the world is 6,000 years old? There is an overwhelming amount of undeniable evidence to disproof this. This also means you literally believe many stories of the bible were true such as Noah's Ark. According to the bible, the flood God caused, covered every mountain top peak on the Earth. This means Mt. Everest would be submerged. Mt. Everest is 5 miles above sea-level. Therefore, there would have to be a 5 mile thick covering of water around the entire globe. There is physically not enough water on the Earth to support this data.
