What do you think? 39wks 4days?

I'm 39wks 4days today and I am still not dilated.Doc said my baby is still high and is head down.I have no pains what so ever.I have tried everything that you can do besides castor oil which I refuse.Nothing seems to work.I go back to the doctor on Thursday at 40wks.So far my doc wants to induce me on Feb 4.I had the same experience with my first.I was induced at 41wks 1 day because of no progress.Is it possible to start dilating and actually have her without getting induced.
