All metabolic reactions in Johnny's body are controlled by enzymes which function at 37.5 degrees Celcius. At temperatures higher than 40 degrees the enzymes lose their function permanently ( they are DENATURED). If Johnny's body temperature thus rises above this his metabolic reactions will seize and Johnny will no longer BE.
