However, the red-hot-poker is left up to the individuals who have used their off-the-shelf RFID scanners to find the American citizens (identified by the RFID tags in their pports) and kidnap/rob/"execute" them. Personally, when I read that our own state department was adding RFID to the pports, I decided that my own country has plenty of places to visit and I don't need to go anywhere else. I've already been to Paris, and the rest of the world can wait to get my money until my country gets a brain.
