A topic for a research paper in western civ....needs an argument...10 pts for best answer - EMERGENCY?

I cannot think of one topic to discuss. I'm usually really good at writing but history really isn't my thing. I'm in college by the way...and western civ is the course name. Does anyone have good ideas for an argumentative essay? I need to find books to research to back up the information :/
